How Long Will My Heart Feel Broken?

Many people feel that the worst thing about going through a breakup is dealing with the heart break afterwards.. For some people it can last weeks. Other people feel as if the pain will never really go away. You might even be asking yourself 'How long will my heart feel broken?'

The good news is that it will some day pass. The bad news is that there really is no expiration date on broken hearts. There are a few things however, you can do that will help the healing process along.

Surround Yourself with Positivity

Positive people, positive ideas, and positive pursuits can make life much more bearable when your heart feels anything but positive. There has been a lot of research done that shows how positive attitudes are contagious. Even though your outlook on life might not be the best right now it doesn't mean that you can't enjoy a change of attitude by surrounding yourself with people who have the 'right' attitude.

But it's not all about attitudes and people. There is a certain self-satisfaction that goes along with doing positive things. Volunteer, become a civic leader, or go to the church of your choice for an uplifting experience. The key is in forcing yourself to be around positive energy at a time when your future isn't looking very bright. It can change your entire outlook and give you a new attitude about the future.

Learn to Vent Your Emotions

Your heart is broken and you are hurting. This is very true. But, that's not all that's going on with you – on an emotional level. You're dealing with a wide range of other emotions too. You need to find a way to vent or work through all of these emotions so that they don't rip you apart.

Venting is a wonderful and highly productive exercise for getting rid of excess emotional baggage and finding healing for broken hearts. Physical forms of venting are great for working off anger and repressed pain. Kick boxing, ripping a punching bag to shreds, and long distance running can help with these emotions. An added benefit is that they are also helpful for getting back into shape or fine tuning a body that's already in great shape.

Venting heartbreak that is soulful rather than scornful is a little bit different. It requires a different kind of release in order to be effective. Writing all your feelings down on paper until there's nothing left to write is a great start. But, it shouldn't end there. You need something cathartic and final to help you move the pain along and find your way back into the land of the living.

Take the paper you've just written all your feelings down on and burn it. Watch it burn down to the last little bit of ash. As the flames diminish so should the level of pain you've been living with over the past days, weeks, and/or months.

Get Your Ex Back

Of course none of these things are quite as effective as learning how to get your ex back after an unwanted breakup. Watch the free video in the link above that will explain the perfect opening move you need to make to win your ex back once and for all. It's worked for over 50,000 people already. Surely it can work for you too.
